Key terms

• 24-month term, then renewal. Your membership runs for 24 months, then renews for another 24 months. We’ll email you two reminders before it renews, at least 60 and 30 days before, with the date, the price and how to cancel. You can stop it renewing at any time before then by email, with nothing to pay, and you can still cancel within 14 days after it renews.
• Minimum roof standard. Your roof needs to meet our minimum standard before membership benefits start. Every roof condition report includes a scoring sheet, and your roof must reach our minimum score on it. We assess this at your first visit, and we explain your score, and anything that’s needed, in writing. You can ask us for a copy of the scoring sheet at any time, including before you join. If your roof doesn’t reach it, your membership goes on hold with no further payments while we quote for the work. You can use us or your own roofer for the work, and we re-inspect before your membership resumes. Your 24-month term then runs from the date it resumes. If your own roofer’s work still isn’t up to standard, your membership stays on hold, with no payments and no benefits, until your roof passes a re-inspection. If you turn down the quote or don’t reply within 60 days, we keep your first payment to pay for the inspection and there’s nothing more to pay.
• Three-storey homes. The three-storey price is only for homes where all the included work can be reached safely from our ladders, and your first visit confirms this. If it can’t, we offer you a bespoke package, quoted to include the access equipment needed, and take no further payments while you decide. If you turn the bespoke quote down, your membership ends with nothing more to pay, and we keep your first payment for the inspection.
• No setup fees. Your first monthly payment covers setup.
• Cancelling early: you pay the difference between the monthly payments you’ve made and our standard non-member prices for the gutter cleans, roof condition reports and repairs from your repair allowance you’ve already had (not work you paid for separately): gutter clean £10 per metre, roof condition report £350, repair £150 each. If your payments already add up to more, there’s nothing extra to pay. The charge is never more than the monthly payments left in your current term, so ending early never costs more than staying to the end.
• 14-day cooling-off from the day you join. We book your first visit for after your 14-day cooling-off period. If you’d like it sooner, just ask. If we carry out a visit at your request and you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay an amount in proportion to the service we’ve provided up to the time you tell us, compared with everything your full 24-month membership includes. The early-cancellation charge doesn’t apply.
