The usual suspects

Meet the gutter gremlins

Three cheeky troublemakers move into gutters every year. Left alone, they send rainwater where it shouldn’t go. Your Ridgewatch visits evict them.

A round fluffy moss ball

Gutter gremlin

The Mossy One

Moss grows on roofs, washes into gutters and holds water like a sponge, so rain can’t drain away. Your annual gutter clean clears it out.

A round fluffy ball of autumn leaves

Gutter gremlin

The Leaf Hoarder

Leaves pile up in gutters and downpipes until rainwater has nowhere to go but over the edge and down your wall. Your annual gutter clean clears them out.

A round fluffy ball of twigs with a little nest on top

The Bird’s Nest Builder

Old nests and twigs block gutters and outlets. We clear the debris at your gutter clean and check outlets at your yearly roof check. Active nests are protected by law, so we leave those alone.

What every member gets

Everything you need to stay ahead of roof problems. The same for every home.

  • Annual gutter clean
  • Annual roof condition report and certificate (an MOT-style check)
  • One scheduled visit and one urgent visit each membership year, with no call-out fee
  • A £150 repair allowance each membership year on your emergency call-out: repairs up to £150 are free, and £150 comes off bigger jobs
  • A roofing team from our trade partner, RooFix Solutions Ltd, booked for members, so you’re not left chasing trades
  • Priority urgent repairs (water coming in and you need someone there), booked in a members-only diary open every day, 8am to 6pm: target within 48 hours for homeowners, 24 hours for landlords (targets, not guarantees; urgent repairs start 30 days after you join)
  • Non-urgent visits within one week
  • Using your call-outs or repair allowance doesn’t change your price. Any general price change comes with 30 days’ notice, and you can leave free

Small jobs now, fewer big bills later

When a gutter blocks, rainwater can overflow, run down the outside wall and show up inside as damp. A professional gutter clean on a medium semi-detached home typically costs £100–£150. Damp proofing an external wall typically costs £1,000–£3,000.

Ridgewatch does the small jobs on a regular cycle, so you’re planning, not reacting.

The Mossy One holds water in your gutters and slows the flow. Your annual gutter clean clears it out.

Prevention is cheaper than cure. Small roof jobs done on time help stop bigger bills later.
